THE STORY OF UNTIL THE LAST SUNSET

UNTIL THE LAST SUNSET was born from a thought that is simple, but impossible to ignore: none of us knows which sunset will be the last. I wanted to create a work that held that awareness without turning it into fear. For me, the sunset became a symbol of time passing, of beauty that exists precisely because it does not last forever.

The line that crosses the composition recalls an electrocardiogram, a heartbeat moving through the final light. I liked the idea of placing life and time in the same space, almost as if every beat were carrying us toward another horizon. Not as a countdown, but as a reminder that being alive means still having something to feel, to choose, to love, to experience.

That is where the title UNTIL THE LAST SUNSET came from. For me, it means living fully until the final heartbeat, until the final light, until the last moment that is truly ours. It is about not postponing life endlessly, not waiting for the perfect time to begin living it.

I prefer to leave the rest open. Someone may see an ending, someone else a beginning, memory, love, loss, gratitude or simply the beauty of a sunset. My meaning belongs to the moment in which I created it. What the work becomes afterwards belongs entirely to the person standing in front of it.
